A significantly improved version of the classic B58 3-liter TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder engine powers the 2024 BMW 740i. The new Miller cycle six-cylinder, the B58TU2, has been given a fresh look for the intake ports and combustion chambers. It also has an electronically controlled VANOS variable camshaft timing system and a 48-volt mild hybrid system. This results in the normal BMW results of increased power and fewer emissions.
