Chipmaker Qualcomm recently released the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset aimed at boosting the performance of high-mid-range smartphones. Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 Phones 2024 SoC is built using TSMC’s 4nm process technology, revealing a compact design without compromising on substantial power. It has an octa-core CPU configuration including a Cortex-A715 prime core clocked at up to 2.4GHz. Also offered are three performance cores running at 2.4GHz and 4 Cortex-A510 efficiency cores clocked at 1.8GHz.
This setup has increased multitasking capabilities and can achieve a 15% increase in CPU speed compared to the SD7Gen1 model. It has up to 16GB of LPDDR5T RAM clocked at 3200MHz and UFS 3.1 storage standard can keep it strong. There is a built-in Hexagon NPU that makes AI and machine learning processes 60% faster than its predecessor.
In terms of GPU, the Adreno 720 will be able to deliver 50% more performance than the previous Adreno 710. Adreno 720 GPU also has a high-fidelity QHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is capable of supporting Full HD+ displays up to 168Hz. Chipset makes it much easier to handle external screens with a refresh rate of up to 60Hz.

According to tipster Yogesh Brar’s theory, Qualcomm may announce Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 Phones 2024 in the first quarter of 2024. In a statement on X, Mr. Brar also said the chipmaker will keep the chip’s price within everyone’s limits this time around and will have the specific objective of driving more demand. Redmi is said to be the launch partner initially and we will see it among other OEMs after the launch and very soon.
