LG Wing (5G) 2024: 8/128GB, Price, Release Date & Full Specs

LG Wing 5G

The new 2024 LG Wing 5G: Price, Release Date And Full Specifications is a pioneering attempt at a novel form factor for contemporary cell phones. It needs some improvement to appeal to people other than the early adopter group, but there’s no denying that LG is on to something with this. To put it another way, we’re looking forward to the LG Wing 2. Smartphones are now monotonous. If you enter a store, you will only see black glass slates along the wall. They all have a similar appearance. You start to question whether smartphone OEMs are still really making an effort.

Let’s introduce the LG Wing, the first device in the company’s new Explorer Project, which intends to test out novel smartphone design concepts and functionalities. A modern smartphone has never had a device like a swivel phone with two displays. It offers whole new use cases, giving filmmakers a potent new weapon for their toolbox, and might be the form factor mobile gamers never knew they desired.

The LG New Handset Full Specs and Features are also available here. Display, Battery, Camera, Storage, and Connectivity make up the entire LG New Device. An explanation of it follows them.

Display: The phone has a 5.71-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 720×1520 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio. The Unisoc SC9863 octa-core processor inside the LG W10 Alpha runs at 1.6 GHz. Corning Gorilla Glass shields the screen of the new LG device.

Connectivity: The LG Wing 5G 2022 has Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v4.10, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G for connectivity (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India).

LG Wing Performance:

The Wing’s 5G capabilities were the subject of much fanfare from LG. The Snapdragon 765G, not the 2020 flagship Snapdragon 865, powers it, and while it does support mm-Wave and sub-6GHz 5G, it is not the 2020 flagship (let alone the 865 Plus). You can find statements like “for the ordinary user conducting everyday chores, the Snapdragon 765G will be more-than-capable” in several of our reviews of smartphones using the 765G processor. The requirement for the phone to power two displays is the biggest issue.

Two separate apps might be running on those displays, consuming much computing power. While operating in “A + a” mode, you still use two apps: one program on the primary display and a second, more minor, related app on the secondary display. There aren’t many programs that make use of the dual-display format natively because the LG Wing is such a novel idea. The smaller display’s software is typically more like an “applet” that runs through the Naver Whale browser.
