That’s because it’s a Toyota Camry with a more svelte appearance and upscale interior decor underneath. Our tests revealed that its driving character and performance were unimpressive, leading us to refer to it as a “rolling Xanax pill.”
Its ability to shield its passengers and the driver from the jolts, thumps and jarring noises of the surrounding world is somewhat of a backhanded compliment. The 2025 Lexus ES powertrains are smooth and quiet, its cabin is among the most luxurious, and its ride is incredibly comfortable.
Simply put, this is not only a car for enthusiasts. However, it can be a vehicle for those who enjoy conserving gasoline, as the 300h hybrid variant achieved 45 mpg during our test drive at 75 mph.
What Will Change in 2025?
Lexus is introducing a new F Sport Management package for the ES350 and ES300h vehicles with a few new inside accessories for the 2025 model year. The Dynamic Handling package was offered last year and was only available on ES350 F Sport cars.
This is comparable to the F Game Handling package. In contrast to a warmed steering wheel with the F Sport logo, it has an adjustable suspension featuring Sport+ and unique drive modes. The F Sport Style package is now available with a panoramic roof as an option for buyers.
The 2025 ES interior features new Ash Bamboo trim, new Macadamia upholstery in a light brown hue, and a modified center console design that includes a sunglass holder, a new position for the cup holder, and a different sport for the cordless charger pad. Additionally, the 2025 Lexus ES now includes the Lexus Interactive infotainment system.
That adds wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Hey Lexus brilliant, assists software, and the paid Destination Assist service. We’re delighted to report that the Remote Contact Interface—is the annoying touchpad on the center console. It has been eliminated due to the installation of this modern multimedia system.
2025 Lexus ES Price
Although we usually consider whether to suggest a car’s sportiest edition or elevated mid-grade customization, in this instance, we believe that the highest-priced Ultra Luxury version is most consistent with the 2025 Lexus ES goal and critical competencies as nothing more than a luxury sedan.
A hands-free auto trunk lid, a power rear sunshade, unique 18-inch wheels, embroidered semi-aniline leather upholstery, and a hardwood steering wheel are all included with the Ultra Luxury label.

The Navigation package, which brings voice recognition, in-dash navigation, a liquid crystal rearview mirror, a DVD player, and the automaker’s Inform Destination Assist service, is also necessary to upgrade the infotainment display to a larger 12.3-inch layout.
First 2025 Lexus ES Performance & Engine
Three different power plant options are available for the 2025 Lexus ES. A 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 203 horsepower powers the ES250, which also has all-wheel drive as standard. The hybrid ES350h and all-wheel drive ES250 completed the dash in slower times of 8.1 & 8.3 seconds, respectively.
This Lexus sedan has the calm handling and accommodating riding qualities that many buyers of premium vehicles adore. The F Sport version adds wider wheels and a more performance-focused suspension tuning for those who want sharper handling, but it’s hardly captivating. Despite this modification, the ES is less sporty than rival vehicles like the BMW 5-series.
2025 Lexus ES Fuel efficiency and actual MPG
According to the EPA, the maximum city/highway mileage again for Lexus ES350 is 22/32 mpg. The ES350h hybrid, as you might assume, gets 43/44 mpg on the highway. According to the EPA, the new ES250 is predicted to achieve 25 mpg in the city & 34 mpg on the road.

The New 2025 Lexus ES trunk offers 17.0 cubic feet of space in both gas-only & hybrid models, which is more than competitors like the Volvo S90 or 14.0 cubic feet and Acura TLX offer (14.0 cubic feet). Unfortunately, a folding back seat is not an option for the ES. This makes carrying large amounts of cargo challenging for such a Lexus.
