At their Unpacked presentation on August 10, 2022, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Watch 5 alongside the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Following the presentation, both smartwatches were made available for pre-order. They became available for purchase on August 26, 2022.

Samsung Smartwatch 2023 Feature
The 2023 Galaxy Watch did receive features typical of any next-generation wearable, such as longer battery life, an enhanced physical design, and new straps.
