Android 15 is one of the world’s most popular mobile operating systems. It is scheduled to be completed in the second half of 2024 as the last major update. As with every new version of Android, Google has given users their first glimpse of Android 15. via a developer preview released on February 16 for select Pixel smartphones.
Google kicked off the Android 15 conversation by releasing the first developer preview of the following operating system version on February 17. Users of Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets wonder if their devices will get Android 15.
The full release of Android 15 will likely happen at Google’s mid-2024 conference, and the internet giant will regularly allow users to beta test new operating system versions before the final release.
Google’s Android beta program will not cover the Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets similarly. Samsung will launch a different beta program later, including additions and improvements to its One UI.
Best Android 15 2024 Features
On February 16, 2024, when Google released the new Android 15, it made some changes that will be part of the package. With Android 15, Google focuses on increasing user privacy on apps and websites that serve ads through a new version of the Privacy Sandbox initiative.
Google is also updating Android’s screen recorder feature, which allows users to record content in a specific app instead of the entire user interface. Also, App Pair is a shortcut between two apps that can launch them instantly in multi-window mode.
Samsung has offered this in its devices for a long time but has yet to be effective. We expect this to become a native Android feature with version 15.
Android 15 includes new APIs to help developers optimize their apps for better performance and lower power consumption. For photo and video capture, third-party apps will have profound control over a device’s camera hardware so that the device’s built-in camera can take advantage of the features the app has to offer. Due to this, it offers superior image and video quality.
