The consumer electronics company Razor introduced the first 5G gaming gadget in the world, an Android handheld device that looks like a Nintendo Switch, for $399.99. The most recent product to enter the rapidly expanding cloud gaming portable market is the Razer Edge hub. George Koroneos, a PR manager for Verizon, which worked with Razer developing the Edge 5G, calls this gadget “the world’s first 5G mobile gaming handheld,” and it was unveiled at the company’s RazerCon 2022 event.
The Razer Edge 5G 2023 Special Features
The Qualcomm Snapdragon G3X Gen 1 gaming platform, which has an octa-core Kryo CPU running at 3GHz and an Adreno GPU, will power the Razer Edge 5G 2023. Additionally, the smartphone will include 128GB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM. Razer stated that its SoC has a lot of power and is two to three times faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G even though it did not provide benchmark results.
It’s not weird at all for Razer to bring up that particular CPU; in fact, it’s a clever dig at Logitech, which is also producing a gaming handheld but is employing a Snapdragon 720G processor. A 6.8-inch 144Hz AMOLED touchscreen panel with a resolution of 2400×1080 will also be included. The Razer Edge 5G system includes a Razer Kishi V2 Pro in addition to the console itself. A 3.5mm headphone jack, advanced-haptic feedback, and great tactile controls are all features of the Razer Kishi V2 Pro, which is an improvement over the basic model.
Along with a strong SoC, a great display, and intuitive controls, the Razer Edge 5G will include a sizable 5,000mAh battery to last for hours while gaming. At launch, it will provide access to more than 1,000 games, taking advantage of Android’s enormous catalog of games as well as platforms like Epic Games, Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta), and Nvidia’s GeForce Now. Additionally, the device will have access to PC games via services like Moonlight, Parsec, Steam Link, and more.
How to use the Razer Edge 5G 2023?
The firm said during its annual RazerCon event that the Razer Kishi V2 Pro with microswitch buttons, analog triggers, customizable macros, and Razer HyperSense haptics is suitable for competitive AAA gaming. Similar to Nintendo’s Switch, The Edge is a two-part gadget with the main unit that has a display and internal technologies and a set of modular, detachable controls. A 6.8-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with a 2,400×1080 resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz is part of the main device.
