What is Ascension Day?
It is a universal festival. Christians believe and support that Jesus ascended to heaven after the resurrection. After his ascension to heaven, he will attain great rank. Jesus will be with god in high positions. Jesus’ ascension was held on the fortieth day in the presence of his eleven companions. The Ascension is celebrated in the churches.
It is again called Ascension Thursday because it is celebrated on Thursday. His eleven apostles testified that he would join his Father in heaven 40 days after the resurrection. He will bless us from there. It is a holy day of obligation.
How is Ascension Day Celebrated?
We can celebrate the day in many ways. This holiday is observed with procession, feast, torch, and banners. Also, it is considered as Christ’s journey to the Mount of Olives, etc a Symbol of entry into heaven.

Fact about Ascension Day
The day reminds us of the end of his earthly ministry. God the Father had lovingly transmitted His Son into the world at Bethlehem, and now the Son was returning to the Father. That entire He had come to do, He had elegance. It noted the comeback of His heavenly glory.
