The people of East Pakistan and Bangladesh are united in realizing their rights against the Pakistani dictatorship. As a result, on March 25, 1971, the Pakistani aggressors attacked the unarmed Bengalis. On that day, they carried out a brutal massacre.
On the night of March 25, 1971, the people of then-East Pakistan officially started their struggle for independence. We achieved an independent sovereign Bangladesh through a long 9-month bloody war in which 3 million martyrs and 2 million women sacrificed their lives.
