Release Date for the S650 Mustang 2024

On the evening of September 14, the Ford Mustang S650 debuted at the 2022 Detroit Auto Show. Initial reports suggested that the historic nameplate’s 60th birthday would occur in the spring of 2023. Ford hosted an event known as “The Stampede” to mark the introduction of the 2024 Mustang.

The main attraction of this event will be a procession made up only of Mustangs. It will start at the company’s worldwide headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan, and end at Hart Plaza, where the S650 will be unveiled. Ford Mustangs over 1,000 were registered.

How Much Will the 2024 Mustang S650?

The all-new 2024 Mustang S650 is set to arrive in the summer of 2024, and pricing has finally been revealed. Based on past and existing Mustang MSRPs, initial estimates put the cost of a base model S650 Mustang without any additional package options at around $30,000

2024 S650 Mustang Engine Mechanism

A brand-new 2.3L EcoBoost turbo-four engine or an updated 5.0L Coyote V8 engine will be available for the S650 Mustang. The Coyote comes complete with two throttle bodies and two air filters. At least 500 horsepower should be available in the first Ford Mustang Dark Hors muscle vehicle, while the Mustang GT should have 480 horsepower. Some engines, like the 5.2-liter VooDoo V8 from the Shelby GT350 and the 5.2-liter supercharged Predator V8 from the Shelby GT500, still need to be verified.

Ford will ensure that a manual transmission is still an option for the following generation of Mustangs. Ford’s 6-speed manual and 10-speed automatic gearboxes will offer standard and optional features for the 2024 Mustang. All Mustang GTs with manual gearboxes will come standard with rev-matching, which keeps the engine’s RPM constant even when the clutch is engaged.

2024 Mustang S650 Design

The design of the seventh-generation Ford Mustang, presently being developed, was based on the S550 generation of the vehicle, with which we are already familiar. For the first time, the front fascias of the Mustang GT and EcoBoost are distinctive, making it more straightforward to tell the two models apart.

However, the back end includes the Mustang’s trademark three vertical tail lamps. Bronzed exterior accents, such as the wheels and the famous Pony logo. Here, it is included in the brand-new Mustang Design Studio package. These highlights are available for the first time.

The 2+2 seating arrangement on the S650 Ford Mustang maintains the traditional cockpit layout. This suggests it will remain a sporty coupe with two seats up front and two additional seats in the back that are better suited for cargo or children.

Patents held by Ford Motor Company attest to the S650 Mustang’s novel new features. The highlight is the new system for remotely revving the engine. It was present on the same day as the automobile. A retractable exhaust system is also described in the patent, which might change the sound of the S650 Mustang’s engine. Whether this feature will be available to the general public is still debatable.

Ford made progress in converting the electronic parking brake to a handbrake. This “drift stick” is still electronically operated and can send the new Mustang into a Formula D-style spin; Vaughn Gittin Jr. helped perfect the function.
